THOMAS E. JOCELYN III

President

As President and CEO of SEC, Tom has over 35 years of experience and multiple Master Electrician licenses. He expanded SEC into a leading NYC contracting firm specializing in six practice areas. Tom excels at implementing unique electrical solutions for complex projects, combining hands-on expertise with deep knowledge of electrical technology and codes.

​

Committed to community, Tom mentors his team, many of whom have been with SEC for over a decade. He serves on the NYC DOB Waterfront Code Committee, is active in local electrical associations, and supports nonprofits like Friends of Karen and the Somers Lions.

​

Tom looks forward to continuing to build SEC as a resource and pillar within the construction community to emPOWER lives in NYC.

BRYAN JOCELYN

Director of Operations

  • Operations Officer serving as the field and operational backbone of Scientific Electric Company

  • Building hands-on experience in scheduling and shop support, this role expands into full ownership of field operations, crew management, fleet logistics, and back-office coordination.

  • 7 years at SEC with 3 in the field

  • Makes the Best Chicken Cutlets East and West of the Mississippi

MAZHARUL ISLAM - "MAZZ"

Estimator/Project Manager

  • 1 year at SEC with 10+ years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, construction estimating and project execution

  • Expertise in NYC and NEC Building Code compliance, cost estimating, scheduling and contract administration

  • BE in Engineering from the University of Sunderland and an MA in Engineering Management from Trine University in Detroit where he currently continues to pursue further advanced degrees to complement his work

CHRISTINE BYRNES - “CHRIS”

Project Manager

  • 10 years at SEC

  • BS in Business Administration and Management

  • Chris maintains great working relationships with NYC DOT and contractors, enabling smooth execution and completion of over 75 park projects. She also loves spending time with her kids and two dogs!

  • Nearly 40 years experience with 15 years at SEC

  • Lou dedicates many hours of his free time to volunteering with the American Legion and collaborating with numerous charitable organizations.  Lou enjoys photography, grilling, and hunting!
